QuickBase 4.1 and EOF adaptor
for HP, Intel and Motorola computers running NEXTSTEP.

The QuickBase client-server database provides advanced features and
graphically based utilities to make
it easy to build database applications. Along with support for the
latest in object-oriented tools, including
Enterprise Objects Framework, QuickBase features transaction
processing, derived columns, application
notification, index training, dynamic SQL, and schema-design programs.

NextCenter Danmark, the leading NEXTSTEP system integrator in
Denmark, is using QuickBase 4.1 to
build a state-of-the-art command-and-control system for the Royal
Danish Police. "The
command-and-control center handles all 911 calls for Copenhagen,
the capitol of Denmark, and its
vicinities, which in total encompasses approximately 1.5 million
people", says Geert B. Clemmensen,
Managing Director of NextCenter Danmark,   "We selected QuickBase
because it is a fast database
engine that is fully integrated with the NEXTSTEP environment and

QuickBase 4.1 has been redesigned to support large NEXTSTEP
installations and large databases.  The
new version also supports KANJI and other 16 bit character sets, as
well as customizable sorting for all
international languages.  Huge money values are supported,
accepting values up to
$92,233,720,368,547,760.00 in any currency.

QuickBase index training provides automatic performance tuning
based on use.  Servers are able to build
optimal indexes on the fly, eliminating the need for guesswork on
the part of application designers.  Index
training works in the background and does not obstruct the
multi-threaded processing of user requests.

QuickBase is available on all NEXTSTEP platforms, with plans for
OPENSTEP.  Call SofDesign to receive
